From the moment yoga entered my life, I was hooked. Yoga offered me a safe space where I could learn to be more compassionate with myself and others and deepen my connection to my body. Soon thereafter, I realized yoga needed to be part of my life in a bigger way so, I enrolled in O2’s Teacher Training where I furthered my passion for yoga and began nerd-ing out about postures, sequencing and anatomy. I am now a full-time yoga teacher and part-time graduate student studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When I finish my degree I will incorporate yoga and mindfulness into individual counseling.
I specialize in an ashtanga-based vinyasa classes with an emphasis on alignment and linking movement to breath. Additionally, I teach yoga for emotional health which is designed for folks with anxiety, depression, and a history of trauma. I have taken multiple trainings over the years including Ashtanga Primary Series with David Swenson & Shelley Washington, Trauma-Informed Yoga with Firefly Yoga International and Yoga for Kids & Teens with Childlight. I am currently enrolled in Kate Graham’s 100 hour training: Yoga for Emotional Health & Healing.
